Description

Metallic Boa Breeding Group (2F+2M)

This Metallic Boa Breeding Group has TB Genes and is an extraordinary and rare Caridina variety with a metallic sheen layered over an intricate Boa pattern. This shrimp showcases deep blue, black, or red hues with shimmering metallic highlights, giving it an iridescent appearance that changes depending on the light. The Boa-like marbling and speckling further enhance its appeal, making it a prized specimen for experienced shrimp keepers and breeders.

Feeding should include high-quality shrimp-specific food, mineral-rich supplements, blanched vegetables, and occasional protein-based treats to maintain their vibrant coloration and strong exoskeleton. These shrimp are highly sensitive to fluctuations in water quality. They are best kept in species-specific tanks or with other peaceful Caridina shrimp to prevent stress. Due to their delicate nature and specific care requirements, Metallic Boa Shrimp are recommended for advanced shrimp keepers.

Metallic Boa Shrimp require a highly stable and pristine environment with soft, slightly acidic water to maintain their health and vibrant coloration. A heavily planted tank with moss, leaf litter, and driftwood encourages biofilm growth, which is essential for their grazing needs and provides hiding spots for comfort.

Acclimating new shrimp before you put them in the new tank is essential. Wait until the TDS of your tank and the water they come shipped in are matched.

Water Parameters:

TDS: 100-130

GH: 3-6
